Breathe Easy in September

This fall marks the 31st anniversary of Commute Solutions joining the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC). As part of our continued effort to improve the air quality of our region, we invite you to take part of Ozone Action Month and make it easier to BREATHE. Below are the ways that you can participate:

Free Fare Friday!

Commute Solutions has partnered with local transit agencies to make getting around easier. By taking public transportation, you can save money and reduce vehicle emissions. Visit our transit partners' websites to learn how you can ride with one of our transit partners today!

Conroe Connection

Fixed Route and Paratransit routes are free on the following Fridays: September 5, 12, 19, and 26.

Fort Bend Transit

The region’s ConnectSmart App can help you find a carpool partner and the regional vanpool program METRO Star can help you find a vanpool or carpool. Visit our partners' websites to learn more!

No Idling

Turn off your car engine if waiting more than 10 seconds.

Fill up Your Tires

When you have properly inflated tires, you can improve your gas mileage.

Combine Trips

Plan your errands to reduce the number of trips you take.

Get Outside

Take your bike or go for a walk with a friend when possible.

Fill Up

Fill up your gas tank later in the day.

Calculate Your Impact

You can also calculate just much you save the environment (and your wallet) using our Make your Commute Count Calculator.
